Groundwater flow accumulation technology for expanding reclamation systems

چکیده

Purpose: to develop the technology for accumulating groundwater flow, taking into account rheological soil properties in system of precipitation expanding reclamation systems. Materials and methods. With help an underground dam, conditions flow are created, The studies were performed using midas GTS NX software package. Mathematical modeling was wxMaxima Results. A set technical devices combined a technological system, intended ensuring reliable accumulation autumn-winter period water withdrawal required volume, including dry periods year, mountain river valleys with periodically intermittent watercourse has been developed. scheme includes construction impermeable dam cross section valley, completely covering aquifer terms power width forming main reservoir. regularities stress-strain state mass time under loads, hydrostatic ones, obtained at upstream levels range from minus 8.19 1.18 m downstream 7.93 6.68 m. It determined that displacement foundation depends on pressure dam: greater pressure, its foundation, increase by 4 times, increases 5.5 times. Conclusions. proposed resources deficit, based regulation lifting transport equipment, is designed guarantee natural waters their use irrigation

Analytical studies on transient groundwater flow induced by land reclamation

[1] In many coastal areas, land has been reclaimed by dumping fill materials into the sea. Land reclamation may have a significant effect on groundwater regimes, especially when the reclamation is at large scale. Analytical studies on the impact of land reclamation on steady-state ground water flow conditions were conducted previously, but transient analytical solutions are not yet available. T...

Flow and storage in groundwater systems.

The dynamic nature of groundwater is not readily apparent, except where discharge is focused at springs or where recharge enters sinkholes. Yet groundwater flow and storage are continually changing in response to human and climatic stresses. Wise development of groundwater resources requires a more complete understanding of these changes in flow and storage and of their effects on the terrestri...

Modification of regional groundwater regimes by land reclamation

JJ.Jiao Land reclamation has played a significant role in the urban development process in many coastal areas in the world. While reclamation provides valuable land, it also creates various coastal engineering, environmental and marine ecological problems. These problems directly caused by reclamation have been well recognized and widely studied. However, it has not been recognized yet that rec...

Preliminary conceptual study on impact of land reclamation on groundwater flow and contaminant migration in Penny ’ s Bay

A large-scale land reclamation project is now being carried out at Penny's Bay, Lantau Island, Hong Kong. The completed reclamation will provide 2.8 km 2 of land for the construction of the new Hong Kong Disneyland and other essential infrastructure developments. The impact of this project on various aspects such as ecology and environment has been widely discussed. This paper studies the chang...
